WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?
I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but have lived in the following locations: Savannah, GA; Minneapolis, MN, Irvine, CA; Lacoste, France; New York, NY, Chicago, IL, and now Denver, CO! New York and Savannah were my favorite!
WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM VACATION BE?
Visiting the great cities and countryside of Europe, Australia, and South America to experience local live music, wine, food, and architecture. Private helicopter tours, and castle tours would be in order!
WHAT’S SOMETHING PEOPLE WOULDN’T GUESS ABOUT YOU?
In grade school, I beat all the boys in races at the roller rink. I’m pretty competitive and don’t enjoy “social” sports. I played year round travel softball and club volleyball in middle school and high school.

WHAT’S THE BEST PLACE YOU HAVE EVER VISITED?
Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park – I love feeling small next to the giant Sequoias. Trees are my favorite thing to experience in nature.
WHO IS THE BEST BAND AND TO SEE LIVE?
Of course, I have to say my husband’s band: Joe Smith and the Spicy Pickles. They play vintage jazz from the late 30’s and early 40’s.
When in New Orleans, anything on Royal Street – particularly, at the Spotted Cat: Aurora Nealand & the Royal Roses, New Orleans Cottonmouth Kings, Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns, and Tuba Skinny.
When in New York: Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks at the IGUANA; Sneak Thievery Orchestra at The Rum House; and Baby Soda Jazz Band at St. Mazie’s. I would love to see Two Man Gentleman Band and The Hot Sardines live.
IF YOU HAD TO WATCH ONE SPORT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Beach volleyball - it’s my absolute favorite because it takes grit, determination, mental focus, and trust – in yourself and your partner. It’s fast paced, and fun to watch.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE FAMOUS FOR?
I don’t want to be famous, but if I had to choose I’d be famous for my sense of style and fashion, or how good looking my dogs are.
WHAT DO YOU DO TO RELIEVE STRESS?
Shop, people watch, swing dance, play volleyball, go for a good run, get outside in the sunshine, drink coffee, light a candle and binge watch Netflix.
WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT?
In Denver – Sushi Den.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OUTDOOR ACTIVITY?
Bonfires, hiking, biking, rollerblading, spending time at the beach or in the woods, and exploring the city on foot.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
See ‘Favorite Outdoor Activities’ and ‘Favorite Live Bands’; also, trying out new restaurants, browsing Pinterest, playing cards with friends, hiking at the off leash dog park with my husband, Joe, our greyhound, Lord Gherkin, and our whippet, Winston.
