Q: Where did you grow up?

A: I was born and raised in Colorado. I grew up in Arvada and went to school in Wheat Ridge.  I graduated from Wheat Ridge High School with intentions on becoming an artist. After graduating I lived in Golden for a while working on my associate degree in Art. Later I moved to Boulder where I continued my studies in engineering. Now I am living in downtown Denver where I can be close to work. I have pretty much made a loop all the way around the northern Denver metro area.

Q: What is the best place you have ever visited? 

A: I entertain myself with traveling to new places.  I have been all over the United States, from coast to coast. My favorite place in the United States would be a tie between Hawaii and Alaska. They are truly the most beautiful areas in the United States, and it is always comforting to have family to see while I am there. One of my favorite places in the world is Europe, a continent with a multitude of architecture, culture, history and food.  My love for Europe stems from my interest in history and culture.  Experiencing other places for yourself is more than you could ever get out of any book or television special, although it is always good to read up and know what you are seeing. On my list for the next adventure is Australia.

Q: Do you play a sport?

A: I have played many sports including tennis, pole vaulting, swimming, and wrestling. Nowadays I remain active and enjoy the outdoors and snowboarding in my spare time. Since I have moved into my new place I have become a workout junkie with a fellow coworker of mine. Recently he has been pushing me to participate in the Boulder Boulder. I like running, but I will have to see how motivated I feel. Later that same day is an even more important race, the Boulder 500. Two races in one day, that’s a lot to ask of anybody.

In my spare time I enjoy going out with friends and spending time in the evening enjoying downtown life. I always enjoy a good game of foosball on my new table with anyone who likes to play. Right now some kid named Josh thinks he will beat me one day. I keep giving him hope but in reality he might as well give up now. I always fit in seeing family wherever I can. Right now I am finishing up my latest read, The Elegant Universe which I find to be fascinating. When I explain it to others they never seem to share my interest. An engineer with a nerd side…go figure. Other than that I spend time in the gym, finding new music and looking for my next favorite movie.
