Q: Where did you grow up?
A: I was born in Illinois, lived in Atlanta for 10 years, and moved to Boulder right before high school.
Q: What is the best place you have ever visited?
A: I think Costa Rica has been my favorite trip so far—beautiful beaches, volcanoes, lots of jungle, monkeys, and friendly people.
Q: What's your favorite restaurant and why?
A: Swing Thai has the best Thai food in Denver. Their entire menu is a wonderful array of textures and flavors.
Q: What do you do to help save the environment?
A: I always keep energy conservation in mind when designing lighting systems. This includes minimizing the amount of watts used and integrating controls where possible to turn off lights when they are not needed. I also bike instead of driving when I can and bring my own bags to the grocery store.
Q: Do you play a sport?
A: Volleyball is the only team sport that I still play occasionally.
Q: Do you have an interesting hobby?
A: Most of my hobbies are active: climbing, yoga, dance, swimming, biking, snowboarding when the snow is good, and camping in the summers. I also worked as a jeweler through college and still make some jewelry in my spare time.
Q: What was the last concert you went to?
A: I saw Les Nubians at a little club downtown. They’re a French-African group with two sisters as the lead singers. I’m planning on seeing some bigger shows at the Botanic Gardens during the summer.
Q: Where would you go and what would you do on your "dream" vacation?
A: I don’t really have one ‘dream vacation’ because I like to travel when I can and there are lots of places I’d like to go. I have a mental list, and I think my next will be a hike to the top of Machu Picchu. |
