WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?
I grew up in York, Pennsylvania where I graduated from Central York High School in 2009 and continued my education at The Pennsylvania State University to pursue a Bachelor’s of Architectural Engineering degree. I grew up playing hockey and skating since the age of two and will continue to so long as I’m alive.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE AND WHY?
Miracle, the true-story based on the 1980 USA Olympic Hockey team that defeated the-almost-20-year-long-undefeated Soviets before the actual medal round and become the first team to beat them in the Olympics since 1960
WHAT’S SOMETHING PEOPLE WOULDN’T GUESS ABOUT YOU?
I was born with curved pinky fingers.
My dream job would be to officiate a game in the NHL.
WHAT’S THE BEST PLACE YOU HAVE EVER VISITED?
Cancun, Mexico for Spring Break 2013. This had to be one of the greatest experiences of my life. The weather was beautiful all week, the sand was perfect, the water was crystal clear blue and truly surreal to stand in. Nightlife downtown Cancun during spring break can get wild. Our last night there we visited what many people told us was the largest dance-club/bar in South America, and after being inside the building, I believe them. The place was unbelievably huge.
WHO IS THE BEST BAND AND TO SEE LIVE?
August Burns Red. They grew up about 45 minutes away from me and now they’re a famous metal band, touring the world, inspiring many with their music. I have seen them live four times and each show continually gets better. I know metal is not a musical style many are fond of, but the sheer talent on their instruments and inspiring song writing abilities from the vocalist makes them one of the best in a world full of wannabes.
IF YOU HAD TO WATCH ONE SPORT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Ice hockey, without a doubt, because it’s the one thing my life has evolved around no matter where I am. I am a fan and follower of the Washington Capitals, Calgary Flames, and Hershey Bears.
WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT?
Any place with all-you-can-eat crabs!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OUTDOOR ACTIVITY?
Attending sprint car races, although there isn’t much of that out here in Colorado. But it is an awesome sport and way better than NASCAR, so check it out! I also enjoy taking my German Shepherd, coincidentally named ‘Sheppy,’ for walks in the woods. Hiking with friends and playing roller hockey are two others.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
Watch hockey, play hockey, play guitar, watch movies, go for walks around town, workout, watch sprint car racing, hang with friends and family, and tailgating/watching Penn State football games during the fall.
