Due to the collaborative effort with the other project consultants, the project achieved the LEED Silver Certified status. The lighting design inspires movement in high-activity spaces with patterns of linear light, and the theme focuses on frames that are accented by lighting details on many of the architecturally framed elements. These accents include cove lighting in the skylights, linear arrangements in floating acoustical ceilings, and recessed lighting in the framed ceiling alcoves of the multi-purpose rooms.

Power systems and service equipment accommodate the future addition of a standby generator to support the entire building in the event of a power outage and additional power systems were designed to support sustainability goals, including plug-load controls and pool equipment variable frequency drive controls to reduce energy consumption. Audio/Video (A/V) systems include full video projection and zoned speaker systems with ADA hearing assistance and touchscreen controls, provided for multi-purpose classroom/stage/venue spaces. Additional A/V systems were designed throughout the facility to support background music, paging, and voice amplification for various recreational activities such as aerobics, dance, and swimming classes.
